Meet Kathy Sokolic: long-time Austinite, Mueller Neighborhood Pioneer, and unofficial mayor of “This intersection needs stop signs.” She’s the kind of neighbor who knows everyone’s dog by name, stress bakes, and believes community is what makes a house feel like home.

When Kathy’s not organizing neighborhood block parties or advocating for street safety she’s probably at home, listening to utterly depressing early 2000’s Indie Rock with a lap full of cats and a Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch® (no lettuce), admiring the incredible rock collection that she acquired during her years of field work as a geologist.

Kathy’s favorite thing about Austin? That it’s a city big enough to attract the best bands in the world but small enough to bump into your friends at the show - and maybe share a taco or two afterwards. Whether she’s helping you find your next home or just swapping stories at the local park, Kathy’s mix of diligence, heart, and a hefty portion of queso makes her your Austin expert.
