Meet Kathy Sokolic: long-time Austinite, Mueller Neighborhood Pioneer, and unofficial mayor of “This intersection needs stop signs.” She’s the kind of neighbor who knows e veryone’s dog by name, stress bakes, and believes community is what makes a house feel like home.

When Kathy’s not organizing neighborhood block parties or advocating for street safety she’s probably at home, listening to utterly depressing early 2000’s Indie Rock with a lap full of cats and a Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch® (no lettuce), admiring the incredible rock collection that she acquired during her years of field work as a geologist.

Kathy’s favorite thing about Austin? That it’s a city big enough to attract the best bands in the world but small enough to bump into your friends at the show - and maybe share a taco or two afterwards. Whether she’s helping you find your next home or just swapping stories at the local park, Kathy’s mix of diligence, heart, and a hefty portion of queso makes her your Austin expert.
